By the end of this module, you should be able to:
1. Understand the concept of mathematical modeling.

3. Distinguish between electrochemical models, equivalent circuit-based models, and empirical models.
4. List the advantages and disadvantages of various types of battery modeling techniques.
5. Demonstrate how to experimentally obtain the SOC-OCV relationship for any battery chemistry.
6. Extract SOC-OCV polynomial parameters from experimental data in MATLAB.
7. Compute the battery State of Charge (SOC) using capacity and current measurements.
8. Simulate a simple battery model in Simulink environment.
9. Compute the voltage response/State of Charge of battery cell using empirical (Behavioral) models.
10. Simulate behavioural models (combined model) in MATLAB script.
11. Extract battery model parameters from experimental data using Genetic Algorithm optimization technique.
12. Compute the voltage response/State of Charge battery cell using equivalent circuit-based models.
